FreeChat for WhatsApp App Reviews

One day in and I relly enjoy this app. I like not having to be interrupted from my computer. I can easily see who is texting and decide who and who not to respond to without going to my phone. the only suggestions are that I would like to be able to minimize it further and there is a dearth of emoticons.

Very easy to add photos and connect to folks internationally. Perfect for those in Europe with data plans that charge for texting.

The only problem I found with this is that if you do nat have whatsapp on your phone, you cannot use it. In other words, you alreasdy have to have a whatsapp account to use this so if you don’t have a phone with whatsapp (though you probably do), you can’t make an account. When you first open the app, it gives you a QR code that has to be scanned by a phone with whatsapp already installed.

The ‘reply’ when the notification comes up on the right hand side of the screen does not work

Our frineds in Europe turned us on to this app and it is great. It syncs well with the phone and is easy to use. Great for sending pics as well.

Doesnt have the in app pop-ups like the other apps do

So far so good! Everything transferred very well and set up was extremely easy! It now allows me to use the app from my Mac which makes responding to messages so much easier! Definitely worth the download and space on the computer!!!

Ive only used it for about 1 minute, but it worked as it should. Its nice to be able to use your computer for whatsapp.

Works as expected. Not sure if it is much better than Whatsapp Web but it’s not worse.

I love the fact that each conversation is encrypted. That makes it easier to say what I need to say without having to think twice about who might be reading a private conversation. The fact that calls can be made through the app makes reaching out to friends and family very easy. Most chats do not allow each portion of a conversation to be copied to the clip board. What’sApp does, which allows for the ease of use with language translators. This is the best chat and phone app I have ever used. Thank you!

Made life 100 times easier… instead of struggling with small screen in mobile or going to fussy websites, i can enjoy whatsapp right from my desktop. !!! love it!! 5 Stars…

Great app, I travel to many countries and this app allows me to send texts, pic’s data with no issues…the communications saves money, a lot of time, and is spot on in most countries. I don’t have as good success with T-Mobil and besides they want me to pay extra to do Int text. This is simply wrong, but someone did their homework with WhatsApp. Thank you, very satisfied.

I just returned to the States from China where I used WhatsApp exclusively for communicating with friends, family and Associates, throughout the U.S. and China. This desktop/laptop app affords me the conveninence of using a real keyboard, rather than my thumbs on the phone. It syncs perfectly and is very responsive. I can’t imagine a paid app being any better.

I love the fact that the whatsapp is linked with the one on my iphone. the msgs you send will also show in both devices. I can’t wait for Sierra to come out to be able to work in all apple devices seamless :)

I am very happy with this application. It’s great. The only thing that needs to be corrected is that the audio files run slower than the real time, so the voices are lower-pitched and that sounds kind of funny.

I was fed up of switching from my computer to my phone whenever I got a text on my WhatsApp. I could use iMessage on my computer when I got a message on my iPhone, so I was really excited when I saw that I could download this for free. It gives you a QR code to set it up in an instant, which transfers over all your chats so you don’t have to start over. It’s exactly the same as the WhatsApp on my phone so I’m super excited to be able to use it on my Mac now. There are others, but you have to pay for those ones, this is free so that’s an added bonus.
